Taos Pueblo is an Indigenous/Native American community. The Taos valley area has been the home to the Taos Pueblo people for thousands of years. The people are known for the construction of the current standing traditional adobe multi-story homes, dating over one-thousand years.
Today, of course modern life and amenity has the majority of the community members living on the external land of the village area. Our traditional homes have been maintained in their original state from our ancestors. The Taos Pueblo has made a choice to open our home to visitors; to educate and inform the world about our home and the history of our people.
